“People get their lives back when they stop living inside the loop.”
-
I work with teens and adults who are tired of living in their heads. A lot of the people I see know the constant replay of thoughts is not helping and still cannot stop. Unanswered texts, opening email, or making one more decision can suddenly feel like too much. Checking, replaying, and planning start taking up hours they do not have.
I also work with people whose past shows up in the present without asking. A tone of voice, a certain room, or just an ordinary Tuesday, and the body is already braced. You feel wired and worn out all at the same time.
Our work together is straightforward and collaborative. You set the pace. My job is to understand what you are dealing with without judging it, then help you test new ways of relating to thoughts and feelings so they do not run the whole day.

I use approaches that target the loop, not just the content of the thought:
· Metacognitive Therapy (MCT)
· Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
· Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
· Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
· Written Exposure Therapy (WET)
· Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
· Motivational Interviewing (MI)
I often combine MCT with ERP for OCD and anxiety, and CPT for trauma-related concerns. We look at the patterns underneath the worry and practice tools you can actually use between sessions.

I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands and my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Missouri State University.
During internship I worked with teens through older adults in individual and group settings. Before counseling I spent more than 25 years in sales and management. That background taught me how to listen closely, build trust quickly, and talk openly with people from all different walks of life.
