Dr. Roldan is a solo practitioner who does all of her own scheduling and billing, and she is often busy with clients during regular business hours. If you do not get a call within 24 hours, please make one additional call back and leave a message, as there have been a couple of issues where messages did not transmit clearly.
The BEST way to contact Dr. Roldan to see if she's a good fit for you (or a loved one) is to schedule a free consultation (virtually) at 417psych.com.
If you would prefer a phone consultation, you may call 417-413-1724 to get that scheduled. These are the most secure options from a privacy standpoint.

We do not bill insurance, and we are not credentialed on any insurance panels.
With that said, Dr. Roldan qualifies to be an out-of-network provider on some plans and will provide an itemized invoice that you can submit to your insurance company to negotiate for reimbursement. You can contact your insurance company directly to inquire about its reimbursement policy for out-of-network behavioral health treatment. If you intend to submit superbills to your insurance company, please let us know as soon as possible, as there are pros and cons that should be discussed in advance of this decision. We make no guarantees of reimbursement based on offering a superbill. It is your responsibility to communicate with your insurance provider. Dr. Roldan does not communicate with insurance providers.
For individuals with Medicare (even if you carry a secondary insurance), you are NOT able to receive and submit superbills and must enter into a private contract in order to receive services with Dr. Roldan.

Call the number on the back of your insurance card, and ask to speak with a representative. Be prepared with a pen and paper to receive a lot of important information. Once connected, ask the following questions:
1) Does my policy provide out of network benefits?
2) Do I have a separate deductible for out of network claims? Or is it one deductible for in- and out-of-network claims?
c) How much is my deductible for out-of-network, and how much has been met to date?
d) What is my co-insurance?
e) Are telehealth services covered in my out-of-network benefits?
f) What will I need to do to see an out-of-network provider and be considered for reimbursement?

Submitting a special receipt to your insurance company is necessary if you wish to utilize out-of-network benefits provided by your managed care provider. This special receipt is called a "superbill" and contains important information such as the National Provider ID of your therapist, a CPT code (procedure code), a diagnosis, and information about the location where you received services (in-office, telehealth, etc.). If your managed care provider offers out-of-network benefits, they will ask you to submit a superbill for eligible services. Our electronic medical system uses the title statement for insurance reimbursement; this is exactly the same as a superbill.
Individuals with Medicare are NOT eligible to receive reimbursement from Medicare and must enter into a private contract in order to receive services from Dr. Roldan. This is true even if you pay for a secondary insurance. Alternatively, Dr. Roldan can provide referrals for a different provider who accepts Medicare.
Please note that insurance companies require a diagnosis before they will consider reimbursement. This is why many individuals prefer to pay out-of-pocket. Weigh the pros and cons to see determine which choice is best for you.

If you specify in advance that you wish to receive regular superbills, they will automatically be made available to you around the first of each month for the previous month's services. If you decide later to request superbills, they can be generated after the fact with some extra steps involved. The superbill is released from our electronic medical records system, and comes from a “noreply” email from the software program. Superbills are emailed to the email address that you first used when you completed your intake paperwork. If you do not receive this in your inbox, it may mean that the superbill landed in your junk mailbox, or it may mean that we did not check a specific box when we got you set up in our system.
