James Spencer is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern and attorney with a unique blend of experience in law, psychology, and technology. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri and is currently completing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Evangel University. His diverse professional background enables him to approach mental health care with insight, empathy, and a strong sense of advocacy.

James has worked for over a decade as a developer and systems analyst, creating tools for legal service providers and managing intricate data systems. He previously held positions as both Director of IT and Managing Attorney, combining his legal expertise with technological solutions to enhance access to justice and optimize case management.

In counseling, James utilizes evidence-based practices, including Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), Metacognitive Therapy (MCT), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
