Every person deserves a treatment that is evidence-based.

  • I work primarily with adults who are experiencing a range of emotional, cognitive, or behavioral challenges, from navigating difficult life transitions to managing more complex mental health conditions. I also see children and adolescents on a more limited basis, particularly when their concerns align with my areas of specialty, such as OCD. Some of the individuals I work with are facing diagnosable disorders, while others are simply going through a tough season and seeking extra support from someone outside their usual circle.

I am able to see clients in 42 states, but the majority of my clients (~80%) visit me in-office in Springfield, MO.

  • I have extensive experience using evidence-based treatments to help clients navigate a wide range of mental health concerns:

    • OCD

    • PTSD

    • Social Anxiety

    • Specific Phobias

    • Panic Disorder

    • Major Depression

    • Bipolar Disorder

    • Schizophrenia

    • And more…

My approach is flexible and collaborative, drawing from various therapeutic modalities to ensure care is tailored to each individual’s needs. Together, we’ll identify the strategies and interventions that are the best fit for you and your goals.

  • I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oklahoma State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I went on to earn both my Master of Science and Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2004 and 2008, respectively. As part of my doctoral training, I completed a Pre-Doctoral Clinical Psychology Internship at Baylor College of Medicine, followed by a Postdoctoral Clinical Psychology Residency/Fellowship at the same institution. This comprehensive training laid a strong foundation for my work in both academic and clinical settings.

I spent 13 years at Drury University, ending my career there as an Associate Professor of Psychology. I maintained a part-time clinical practice during those 13 years and left in May 2024 to start 417 Psych, LLC. I remain committed to education and training as a full-time clinician.
