A supportive space for adults struggling with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, worry, obsessional doubt, OCD, health anxiety, depression, PTSD, social anxiety, insomnia, and more. The group focus is on introducing and implementing skills known to help stop rumination. There is no expectation for you to share your personal struggles with other group members, as this is not a support group.

$400 ($50 intake + $50/group)

Groups are a way for us to make quality care accessible at a more affordable cost.
If the cost of this group still feels out of reach, please reach out and request a “sliding scale”. The best time for this discussion is during the intake session where we assess if the group is an appropriate fit for your needs.

We do not offer discounts for missed groups, as we limit group size and reserve a spot just for you.
What we do offer is an opportunity for you to make up one missed session with our Counseling Intern so you do not fall behind. There is no additional cost for one make-up session.
Additional make-up sessions after the first free one will be billed at a rate of $50/session. Make-up sessions should be scheduled with James Spencer here.
You may choose to have a make-up session in person or virtually. Just be sure to select “Individual Therapy” or “Individual Therapy Online” according to your preference. If you don’t see a time that works for you, reach out to James directly.

The treatment protocol recommends a six-session group with a follow-up four weeks after the 6th session. This delay is intentional and is not because of a scheduling conflict.

We believe we are among the first 150-200 clinicians to be trained in Metacognitive Therapy in the United States. It is relatively new to the US, though it has been extensively utilized and researched for over twenty years in Europe and Australia. We are so excited to share this approach with you and truly believe it will be life-changing!
