  • For over 15 years, I have enjoyed helping adults and adolescents find hope and healing from a variety of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and other difficulties. Whether you have a diagnosable mental health condition or are just facing a challenging time and would like additional support, I am passionate about providing quality, evidence-based care. I also work with children and their families on a limited basis, with a particular focus on emotion regulation and parenting skills.

    I value a collaborative relationship with my clients and feel passionate about helping people explore healthy ways to cope with stress, navigate symptoms, and reach their goals. I draw from a range of evidence-based treatment modalities and techniques to support each person’s unique needs and preferences, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and others. 

  • I graduated with distinction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in December 2001, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology. After moving to the Springfield, MO area I went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in December of 2006 with my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. Prior to my current practice, I worked in community mental health as a licensed professional counselor and clinical supervisor, and provided crisis support services through a crisis hotline for several years. I value staying up to date on best practices, and am fully committed to pursuing ongoing training and educational opportunities so I can best serve you.
